I got Fujifilm J10 as a gift. I felt that $140 had gone down in drain. I called them back & tried to explain that it was barely used.
I had barely used the camera few times. This camera was not dropped, mishandled, abused, or impacted. With 3-4 months of using it suddenly the flash stopped working.
To my dismay they refused to entertain any sort of enquiry. The service center remarked "impact damage, flash broken" and is not covered under warranty. So I sent it back to Fujifilm since it was under warranty. They sent me an invoice for $60 to repair the flash. They refused to repair the camera under the pretext that it had minor scraches on one end.
I refused service I HATE FUJIFILM.their cameras are only good while they are working. I will NEVER TOUCH FUJIFILM AGAIN.Do yourself a favor and get Nikon or Canon.
I find this VERY poor indeed; this thing needs more charging than my cell phone, which is on 24/7. "Great," you say. The battery is some special flat model that takes, like, 10 minutes to charge. Considering the battery to be a "feature," that's why I gave "features" 1 star. Not hardly, because that's about how long it lasts, and, unlike my previous Fuji, which used AAs, there's no way that I know of to have another set of batteries charged and ready to go. Hence, the battery's ALWAYS dead, and is so as I type. I'm seriously unhappy with this camera since it's useless without power. I'd appreciate a bigger camera with bigger batteries that's a lot more useful in the end.
Looking to document adventures in my life more than do anything artistic. This camera is easy to use. Really bright, really sharp. I like photos and taking them, but am not a photographer. My old digital camera broke, so I picked this one up as a last minute replacement before a trip. After the great experience with this one, I am definitely getting a Fuji when this one goes out. :)What amazed me was the great color my photos has.
And I am not a technical person, by the way.
Was able to do everything I needed to do without reading the manual.
Not the smallest, but comfortable to carry around with you, in a pocket or purse.
Got it based on price and reviews.
Made me look like a much better photographer than I am.Good size.
Plugged it in my computer (Mac) and iPhoto came up and did everything I needed it to do.
Easy as pie.
Display is large enough to tell what is going on, although it's good to have a bit of shade for easy reading. The last couple of cameras I have purchased have been Nikon.
I expect that to be a few years from now though because it has all the features I need, it's small, and it is well constructed.
I wish this was the kind of camera that operated on AAA batteries or other easily/cheaply replaceable batteries that I could carry as spares. I have no problems with the features or performance. Great camera for the money. But other than that, I'm happy with the product. My only complaint is that the battery life isn't as long as I'd like it to be. Twice I've taken it to parties just to see the battery die within 3 hours or so. The viewscreen is smaller than some other similar cameras, but the camera itself is pretty tiny too. Even in its case it won't take up too much room in your pocket, which is good.
I ordered this camera recently and found it to be a wonderful camera. Then the LCD looked like it had a crack in it even though we don't recall it EVER being dropped. Fuji says they won't fix it under warranty. They should have stood behind their product a little better rather than charging me $61 to fix the darn thing.
